NFL Draft Prop Bets

With the NFL Draft just days away, it’s nearly impossible to predict how this soap opera is going to play out. An unexpected choice or trade can have a trickle down effect for the entire draft. In this article, we will examine a few of the prop bets being provided by William Hill US. Good Luck to all who decide to tail…

More Players drafted during the 1st Round:
Offense +1.5 -130
Defense -1.5 +110

It’s easy to immediately look at the offense for this bet. For 3 months leading up to this week’s draft, all that’s been discussed has been the 5 quarterbacks and Saquon Barkley. Past that, I believe there may only be 4 more offensive players guaranteed to be 1st round picks (Calvin Ridley, D.J. Moore, Quenton Nelson, Mike McGlinchey). That gives us 10 picks out of 32 for offense. Our defensive locks for the first round sit at 11 (Bradley Chubb, Roquan Smith, Tremaine Edmunds, Derwin James, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Joshua Jackson, Denzel Ward, Vita Vea, Marcus Davenport, Rashaan Evans, Leighton Vander Esch). So with 11 picks remaining in the round, I believe the remaining 1st round talent favors the defensive side of the ball. Potential 1st round defensive talent includes Da’Ron Payne, Taven Bryan, Harold Landry, Jaire Alexander, Mike Hughes. Potential 1st round offensive talent includes Mason Rudolph, Derrius Guice, Courtland Sutton) Tight Ends and Offensive Lineman could be the wildcards for this bet.

I’ll lean toward Defensive Players -1.5 and pray there is not a run on pass blockers in the late first round.

Player to be drafted 1st:
Josh Allen -210
Bradley Chubb +180

I gotta feel that Bradley Chubb isn’t even a thought to the teams picking 1st-4th and maybe 5th. The Browns, Giants and Jets will most certainly be going QB or Saquon Barkley and if someone does trade up to Cleveland’s pick at 4, I don’t think they’re trading up to get Chubb. Even more still, if Allen is there at 5, there are reports that GM John Elway will nab the Wyoming gunslinger. So much hype for the QB prospect, but could we realistically see him sliding ala Aaron Rodgers style? I’ll lean that Josh Allen will be holding up a jersey on stage before Bradley Chubb. I think Allen goes at 4 to Cleveland and Chubb goes at 5 to Denver.

Josh Allen -210

Alabama Players drafted in 1st round: 4
Over +125
Under -145

Minkah Fitzpatrick and Rashaan Evans are virtual locks to go in round 1. Calvin Ridley and Da’Ron Payne are safe bets to also be drafted on Thursday as well. So we are already at 4 players. Others who could definitely sneak in from the Crimson Tide are Ronnie Harrison and Tony Brown.
I’ll play the over at PLUS money and be OK with a push.

OVER 4 +125
