In Commish’s Corner, you’ll find all the thoughts and opinions of professional sports gambler and poker player Christopher Moon. His forte’ is primarily baseball betting and No Limit Holdem, but Chris has takes on many different areas of sports and life.
A little bit about Chris:
Born in Queens, New York and raised in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, Chris “Moondog” Moon graduated High School from Hamilton-Wenham Regional in 1987.
Like most kids growing up in the northeast, he was passionate about sports, stats, and broadcasting. It became apparent at an early age that he wouldn’t make it as a baseball player but loved the game and became engrossed in all the numbers that the game has to offer. He spent a summer as the head coach of a youth team, and a summer as a travelling scorekeeper. After an unsuccessful stint in college, Chris joined the Air Force and had eight years of European assignments in the Netherlands, Belgium, and England. After the military years, Chris spent ten years in the Washington DC area as a contractor working for several government agencies. In 2013, he decided that he wanted to pursue his passion fulltime and took the leap to move to Las Vegas and become a fulltime sports handicapper, and poker player. It hasn’t been easy, but like Forrest Gump said “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get”.
